Co-Captain and Beermonger
Ray has simple needs and hobbies. He loves to travel and enjoys eating and surfing. In 1998 he opened Tokyo Go Go, one of the top sushi restaurants in San Francisco, CA. After more than a decade of success he sold Tokyo Go Go to make the move to sunny Southern California. Ray is inspired by many different cuisines and flavors that have already taken him to several different countries. His goal is, and it is a lofty one, is to “eat his way” around the world. For now, as Fish 101’s Beermonger, Ray focuses on researching and tasting all that the San Diego’s micro brew community has to offer and ensuring that Fish 101 carries an extensive collection of local artisan beers. He has a degree in Business Economics from UCSB.
